Artwork & Lore

Here is where all the artwork I make for Elektrodias is posted. Some are single covers and tell the story of the events in the album they are apart of, others are promotional, and some are just for fun or simple logo ideas.

Door to the Hive Fortress

Pixel art by Benjamin Jarrett.

In the plot of Dawn of the Dusk Virus, Elektrodias wakes from stasis to discover his homeworld, The Net-hub, has been plunged into darkness and corruption. It would seem that after the events of The Great Recollection, peace did not last. Somehow, the threat of the Dusk persisted...

At this point, the Dusk Virus has taken over and corrupted most of the SuperNet, the universe in which the Net-Hub and the other digital worlds reside.

After clearing out the Net-hub of the dark menace, the two find out that the location of the Virus's main base of operations--known as the Hive Fortress--is barred from entry by a mechanical door, sealed by the life force of two Wardens and four beasts. Each of these foes carries a key to the door.

Thus, the two heroes set out once again on another quest to save the Net-Hub. But this time they will encounter tougher enemies, gain new companions, meet old friends, and face bigger challenges!

Lava Ship--Calamari Cauldron Cousins

Pixel art by Benjamin Jarrett.

The Single Cover for Calamari Cauldron Cousins.

Elektrodias and Co. Travel to the Calamari Cauldron on a Lava Barge. Calamari Cauldron is a massive volcanic crater with a vast lava sea. Tons of creatures dwell underneath the fiery waves, with millions of years of evolution steeling them against the harsh environment.

In this stage, our heroes must face these hungry creatures, as well as a gang of bloodthirsty undead pirates who roam the fiery brine, captained by none other than the heartless--and skinless--Osbone Jonas...

Every good game has a cool fiery lava level in it. I wanted to use deep notes and chords as well as an organ and bellowing synths to paint a picture of a unique lava level to give people that nostalgic feeling of playing in a scorching hellscape in their favorite games growing up.

Beat-em-up Valley

Pixel art by Benjamin Jarrett.

The cover art for the single Beat-em-up Valley.

Beat-em-up Valley is the first stage in Elektrodias and Chini's 2nd adventure. The duo finds themselves in the bustling city, with creatures under the influence of the Dusk Virus running amok. They feed off of the corruption of its dictator, the Duke of Pixels...

The vision of the song was to be a callback to the Beatemup genre of arcade games like Streets of Rage or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 and 4: Turtles in Time.

"Winterized" Promotional Logo

Logo used to promote my EP, Winterized.

Winterized Alternate artwork

Drawn up hastily on my sketchpad. I didn't want to completely scrap it since I worked hard on it. Guess it'll remain enshrined here on this page 😅

Another Difficult Water Level

One of my favorites that I've done.

Everybody knows a game that has that one ridiculously hard water level. Almost every game had one back in the day. This song and art is basically an homage to those rage-inducing retro stages.

Bring The Pain Alternate

Bring The Pain is the very first song I made. I was mostly just clowning around with a tune I had in my head for years--like back to my childhood years.

"this would be a cool menu theme for a game, " I told myself when I finished it on my DAW. It always gave me that megaman-esque boss selection screen vibe.

I was going to use this art at first, but ultimately settled on the Voxel portal artwork instead.

Elektrodias Green n' Pink logo

Logo made by a big fan of mine 😎

A cool logo idea from my cool fiancée. It's simple, but it pops, and I dig it.

Voxel Portal

Made in Autodesk by Benjamin Jarrett.

So what the heck is a Voxel Portal? I'll tell ya, friend:

In the Supernet, an entirely digital universe where humans have uploaded their consciousness to live on in an apocalypse-driven Earth, there exists wormhole that open up and connect to different points in the 'Net.

Only few can access these Voxel Portals. It has to be built into one's own code to assume command of one. There is a special Voxel Portal that leads to The heart of the Dusk Virus, but without the lines of code, it is inaccessible...
